Hello and thank you for visiting!
As a child, I was always drawing and creating as a way to express myself. Living on an island, surrounded by sea and the picturesque Manx countryside, helped my imagination grow. My work from the very beginning was always of serene landscapes and all the animals that I adored. After completing the Art and Design Foundation course at UCM, where I developed a love of printing techniques to create intricate textures, I went on to graduate from University College Falmouth in 2011 with a 2:1 BA (Hons) Illustration degree.
Falmouth became an inspirational place for me and was key to the style of illustration I have today. Exhibiting my work at the New Designers Exhibition in London and presenting my portfolio to publishers/agents in New York gave me the confidence to keep pushing in the right direction. After starting off working with a variety of media such as gouache, pen, collage and digital paint work using Adobe Photoshop, I have since moved on to create images just using my iPad. Although my work is now solely digital with some collage, I try to create images which have lots of textures to make them seem to be painted with traditional techniques.
